We have been learning to take macro photos in Room 5. We have also learnt to use Photoshop on the Ipads to manipulate our images. The following images are just a few the students have taken so far. Please give us some feedback :)

Oral Assessment

Several weeks ago Jessica took part in Oral Assessment. She was trying to achieve a pass for the White Bar. Jessica passed with distinction! She had to do a speech and recite a poem off by heart. Jessica practiced lots at home and in class. She had to make sure she stood up straight, looked at her audience and spoke clearly. Jess had to work on varying the tone of her voice depending on the text. During one of her practices Jessica recorded herself using Puppet Pals so she could hear how she sounded and what she needed to work on. What do you think?

The Royal New Zealand Ballet

A couple of weeks ago I performed as Young Cinderella in the Royal New Zealand Ballet. In writing we have been learning to "show the reader" instead of telling the reader so I tried to add interesting adjectives and verbs into my writing. I published my piece using Puppet Pals.
